Wild Plein Kolinsky Sable Blend Watercolor Travel Brushes Adventurers Series Discbound, Refillable Watercolor Sketchbooks - Wild Plein

Wild Plein Watercolor Journals are...

Truly WILD!!!

TL, DR

  • Easily grab the right journal because of it's eye-catching, stylish cotton-bound cover.
  • Always be able to re-use your journal with pre-punched 100% cotton watercolor paper refills.
  • Always be able to shuffle your best works to the front or back (and remove those ones you're not quite ready to show the public).
  • Easily pull out a page to work directly on a clipboard if you wish. Then replace later.
  • And, finally, give back to the Earth while you seek out new journal masterpieces.

We've spent quite a bit of time journaling and painting in a variety of sketchbooks from all the major companies: Thicker paper (300lb paper), thinner paper (90lb paper), spiral-bound journals, book-bound sketchbooks, lay-flat books, panorama-style watercolor books, but one thing kept on bothering us.

  • One thing that we constantly found at the end of those journals...
  • One thing that we found in the middle of using those sketchbooks...
  • One thing that we questioned before we even purchase those journals...

What is that one thing?

All the other sketchbooks became:

  • Something we had to store away
  • Something that took up space on our shelves
  • Something we had to surgically pull/slice apart to save the best works
  • Something that ultimately couldn't be reused, refreshed, or reshuffled.

We asked WHY?! ...Well here is a "WILD" idea:

Our brand new aluminum disc-bound journals are ready to solve all of these worries.

  • Easily grab the right journal because of it's eye-catching, stylish cotton-bound cover.
  • For the same reason, never leave it behind like your boring black, brown, or grey sketchbooks that blend in with your surroundings.
  • Always be able to re-use your journal with pre-punched 100% cotton watercolor paper refills. We will soon be carrying all of your favorites.
  • Always be able to shuffle your best works to the front or back (and remove those ones you're not quite ready to show the public).
  • Easily pull out a page to work directly on a clipboard if you wish. Then replace later.
  • And, finally, give back to the Earth while you seek out new journal masterpieces.

Does that sound like a smarter way to watercolor sketch?

You might not know this, but we live a full-time RV lifestyle, traveling around the country to see everything it has to offer and paint everywhere we can on the way.

Full Time RV Lifestyle

Why am I telling you this? Because storage space comes at a premium in an RV and the decision to bring something into our lives, means there will likely be a decision to remove something from our lives.

Does this sound reminiscent to you? (Maybe so, maybe no.)

But heaven forbid its a journal of many of our recent adventures because sometimes the only solution is getting rid of one of these books. (And, for that matter, there are two of us, Rari and I, so more than likely it's two of these sketchbooks.)

We, of course, take many photos of these past sketches in watercolor, but otherwise,

it's bon voyage! Arrivederci !!!

So have a look at the new journal collection and see if something catches your eye. We know it's hard to choose from all of the colorful options, but we know you will find the perfect journal.

Wild Plein is about adventure, inspiration, and adding a lot of personality to our quality artist products.

So what you see you may be vast, and it will likely change often. Which we think is actually a good thing.

The fabric world is the fashion world, so styles will come and go, and disappear fast. (Hence, the "limited-edition") We might be able to secure more of a certain style and less of another, but we think it will just be easier to keep things fresh and renewed. Let's sketchbook!

[Ps. If you've read this far, you're a trooper. We love you for that fact!

Shoot me a direct message and let me know if you want to see something in particular combination that is not below.

Best, Ryan. hello@wildplein.com]
